'Hampton Street Health' represents the collection
of allied health care workers under the one roof at 505 Hampton
St Hampton. 'Hampton Street Health' has been established for a number of
years, and aims to integrate with the medical services
offered by 'Hampton Holistic General Practice'. Availability of practitioners
at 'Hampton Street Health' is on a part time
basis
by appointment.
1. Psychology
• Phillipa Castle
B.A.(Psyc)(H),B.Ed.(Couns), M.A.Ps.S.
Through her extensive experience in the mental health and addiction fields of psychology, Phillipa has expertise in the major life issues of grief, loss, depression, life transitions, childhood and relationships (family, couple and social).
Phillipa believes that counseling provides a private, supportive and non-judgmental environment that will lead people to develop the knowledge and skills to best support themselves through difficult, current and past situations.

• Janice Whetton

With over eighteen year’s experience in counseling, Janice has developed a specific expertise in couple and family relationships, anxiety disorders and depression.
She is also experienced in work related difficulties, including stress management, career development and rehabilitation after illness or injury.
Janice works with people to enhance their wellbeing in both the personal and work areas of their lives.

• Sue Hosking

As well as seeing people with difficulties such as anxiety and depression or relationship problems, Sue has developed a particular interest in assisting people with severe work-related difficulties; Sue also works with people who are experiencing chronic and traumatic stress in other aspects of their lives. Sue is not currently taking on new patients.

For some years Janine has worked with children and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties in areas such as anxiety, depression, grief, friendship and relationships, and problems with study skills in general. She works with families where appropriate. She also does educational and intellectual assessments. Janine also works with adults.

With wide experience counseling adolescents, adults, couples and families, Jenny’s expertise includes relationship issues, managing life transitions and recovery from trauma, grief and loss. In an atmosphere of respect and support, Jenny works collaboratively with people in the generation of new possibilities and meanings for their lives so that they can become empowered to overcome their life difficulties and embark upon pathways to enhanced lives and relationships.

• Gino Carrafa

As well as working in the general areas of anxiety, depression and stress; Gino has particular interests in bipolar, borderline, eating disorders and men’s issues. He uses a variety of treatments including hypnotherapy. Gino also speaks Italian fluently. He is currently working at Hampton on Saturday mornings.

2. Women’s and Men’s Health Physiotherapy
The physiotherapy service provides management and assessment of the pelvic
floor and abdominal muscles, bladder and bowel function and lifestyle factors.
Treatment is also provided for conditions
commonly experienced by women during their childbearing years.
The physiotherapists have post-graduate qualifications and have specialised
exclusively in this field in Australia and overseas; they are also available for general physiotherapy treatments.
3. Naturopathy
• Nicole Quaife B.H.Sc(Naturo) MNHAA
Nicole uses a combination of herbal medicine, clinical nutrition, lifestyle
and dietary changes to restore health and vitality and to strengthen the
body. Natural medicine can be very effective in strengthening the body’s
defences to prevent illness. Nicole‘s special area of interest is
in fatigue and exhaustion.

4. Manual Lymph Drainage
• Susan Knight and Avril Lunken
Susan and Avril treat many different conditions using MLD techniques,
including lymphoedema, post-operative oedema, scar tissue, migraine, tinnitus,
neuralgia, burns and skin conditions. Treatment is also available for ‘lumpy’ breasts,
trauma induced swelling, pregnancy related oedema and palliative care.
